We’ve been here at IMAC west in Long Beach since before the booths were set up but now that the Reef Builders lounge and other booths are showing, we have to say that the Queen Mary as a venue for IMAC totally rocks. the multi-tiered layout of this place gives the space a grand impression and with all the coral vendors on the bottom level, we’re pretty sure this is the first coral market which is below sea level. There is a great diversity of vendors of both dry goods and livestock here at IMAC West and we have your preview of most of the show floor before the doors even open. Although the industry is dragging along for the summertime, we’ve spied more than a handful of new products to make for a great posting weekend. Above you’ll see part of the Reef Builders lounge which we have set up to accomodate some friendly chat and discussions for new and old Reef Builders readers so make sure to stop by and see what we have going on. In addition to the ginormous raffle set up by IMAC West, we will be contributing some donations such as a Deep Sea Aquatics Neo-Nano, a Vortech MP10 and a copy of the second Reef Life Magazine signed by the Fish Monger himself, Kevin Kohen. Check out the gallery below and be sure to check back often for our coverage of the International Marine Aquarium Conference West.
