The Aeroforce hang-on protein skimmer from CPR Aquatics is a new recirculating protein skimmer which is the successor to the BakPak . After nearly a decade of minor and incremental upgrades to the workhorse BakPak with small design changes and a myriad of different feed pumps over the years, the Aeroforce is the first true next-generation BakPak featuring a dedicated feed pump and the Aero aspirating water pump as an internal water and air mixing pump. The new Aeroforce really steps up the bar in terms of performance and air production; one cursory glance at the cloud that is the reaction chamber makes it easy to see that CPR has a real winner on their hands. The two units currently on display at IMAC West are past the prototype stage but they are still being developed and we expect a release date which will be within 60-90 days.
