Leave it to John Coppolino to recognize an obscure and subtle hybrid lurking around in the rockwork of the large walkaround display tank of the Quality Marine booth at IMAC West. It’s not everyday that you get to see a live Centropyge hybrid but if you hurry down to IMAC West this weekend, you’ll get the chance to see hybrid between a flame angelfish (C. loriculus) and the rusty anglefish, (C. ferrugatus). We are tentatively calling this unique hybrid the “Ferriculus Angelfish”. Big thanks to Quality Marine for bringing and displaying this fish for appreciation by the wider public.
