Some industry rumors are hinting at a possibility that Instant Ocean may be working on a new gel based food for our marine aquarium fish. Gelatin has long been a very important ingredient in frozen food for ornamental fish and refrigerated food in aquaculture. About 10 years ago Tetra tried to launch a gel based food with recipes that resembled formula 1, formula 2 and others but the food was packaged in single servings that looked like packs of condiments and although the food may have been of high quality, the presentation and consumer perception was not at all favorable. Word on the shkreet is that Instant Ocean gel food may be introduced at MACNA, which sounds fairly plausible, guess we’ll find out in a month.
Instant Ocean Gel Food on the way?
