Cephalopholis igarashiensis, better known as the Neptune Grouper, is a stunning fish from extremely deep water and we’ve just been floored by this live specimen since it showed up at House of Fins way back in June. Even in that short amount of time, the Neptune Grouper has grown considerably and it’s color and pattern have just become more interesting and vivid.
We had the privilege of visiting HOF a little over a week ago and although we’re missing out on the Prognathodes guyanensis and Prognathodes aya display, it was plenty of a treat to see this Neptune Grouper and it’s Conspicuous angelfish tankmate. Just in case we haven’t made it clear how rare, exotic, amazing and unique the deepwater Neptune Grouper is, here’s a little HD video to get your attention.
If you like what you see and you live within driving range of Greenwich CT, this and many more exotic fish will be for sale at the House of Fins 52nd anniversary sale in Greenwich CT.
