Media reactors for reef aquarium use are being employed more and more frequently and it’s such a pleasure to see one of our own sponsors showing this piece a kit a little bit of special attention. We spied the Deluxe black carbon and GFO reactor from Bulk Reef Supply at Fragstock this past weekend and we immediately noticed that this was no run of the mill media reactor. It may be subtle but the coup-de-gras might have been a pressure release valve in the head of the canister unit which allows the user to break the suction and clear the water from all the lines before servicing the reactor, thus reducing the potential for spills.
