So you know how normally when we have a giveaway the winner is chosen by randomly selecting from the comments? This aquarium Stimulus Program is not going down like that. We have in our posession a spankin new 250 watt mogul base 10K/20K lamp from Reefbrite; we’d like to it giveaway to someone who can utilize the bulb to it’s full potential and eventually report back their successes and or challenges when using this bulb. Just to refresh your memory, this lamp has two built-in inner envelopes that, in this case, are two envelopes of different colors. The lamp alternates the use of the envelopes each time it is turned on and off. For more details visit our introductory post on this exciting new metal halide lamp concept. To be considered to receive this lamp, please be able to communicate to us in the comments how you intend to put the Twinarc to good use and the Reef Builders staff will discuss the proposed applications and select the entry which shows the most promise, or at least originality. If it comes down to the wire on more than one entry we may erect a poll to include the wider reefing community on the selection of the finalist. Some of the obvious prerequisites for using this lamp include a good sized mogul base reflector, high quality electronic ballast and a timing device. We’re all looking forward to reading what everyone comes up with.
