2009 was a very good year for aquarium Cyclos. Imports from Australia and Malaysia really helped to bring some mind blowing colorful Fungiids this year but the Cycloseris were some of the best represented. What strikes us is that the bounty of Cycloseris was well distributed int he aquarium trade and it seems like most of the serious live coral slingers each had one piece they could all brag about. If you have a single LPS loving bone in your body you will definitely want to follow the read link to see all the amazing images we’ve been saving up all year just for this.
Vote in the poll at the bottom of the page and help us pick out the Best Cycloseris of 2009!
The polls will be open until next week with more categories coming soon. The winners will be announced on Friday, January 8.

This Australian tricolor Cycloseris may be small but when it grows up it will be packing a lot of colorful heat.

This Borneo pink cyclo with green tentacles sure does look perky in this photo, I hope you appreciate the difficulty of dunking my camera 3 feet down into a tank for this shot.
~
Borneo dark-stripe red cyclo; I almost had a fluid-related incident when Kevin showed me this picture without prior warning.
~
This Australian rainbow striped Cyclo caught my eye from 10 feet away, after which nothing else mattered but to walk briskly towards it lest I be struck dead in the next few moments before I had the chance to bear witness.
~
This Australian orange cyclo with the purple perimeter may have come with some sibling but if those tentacles are purple, are bets are off.
~
This is another Beauty from Borneo, affectionately called the Sundial Cyclo for it’s colorful radiating stripes. The brilliant red mouth really makes this piece.
~
This Australian green tentacles Cyclo straddles the broder between orange and pink and when it gets larger it could sport both and the light pattern on the edge could get really interesting with size.
