Colorado is already home to many fine aquarium companies such as Reeflo, AquaMedic and RK2 and now we are proud to welcome SWC Skimmers into our high quality local reefing scene. This skimmer line was once the exclusive distributorship of Salt Water Connection, an exclusively web-based company, but now it appears like the new distributor will be called simply “SWC” skimmers and they will be located a long bike ride away from where we are typing this right now, in Arvada Colorado. Although SWC Skimmers use the same Sicce PSK 2500 pump as many other skimmer makers, their bubble plate, cone and standard models are all significantly less costly than comparably rated European skimmers who’s prices have been greatly increased by the weakness of the dollar against the Euro. Reef Builders is proud to welcome SWC Skimmers as the newest addition to our roster of high quality sponsors and we also look forward to getting some face time with these American made skimmers which are now being distributed from our own neighborhood. SWC Skimmers will be a vendor at the hotly anticipated ReefStock conference where we expect to see the entire line as well as some jumbo sized and new skimmer models.
