Hanna Instruments has released a new phosphate checker colorimeter that should make it easier for you to check your water parameters or at least phosphate. The new phosphate colorimeter has a resolution of 0.01 ppm (250 points) and 4% ±0.04 accuracy of reading. And requires the use of the Hanna reagent that is included. The colorimeter is very affordable with a $40 MSRP assigned to it which tell us that Hanna wants to get it in the hands of more then just the dedicated hobbyists but common folk as well. Did we mention that it works with saltwater? Yes. It does. Having a $40 PO4 colorimeter is great but we would like to see more affordable colorimeters (that work with saltwater) appear on the market including all of our common water parameters.
