We’ve captured a new milwaukee electronic refractometer in the wild. This guy has a light meter with fully submersible probe built into it, something that is brand new for this model. Pricing hasn’t been released yet, but don’t expect to pick this up for cheap. You may recall the Hanna digital refractometer which we first wrote about in July: that unit sported a an identical case, cuvet and buttons and it retails fr $199. With so many reliable refractometers available to the aquarium hobby for $60-80, we’re not sure exactly which kind of aquarists will need the added accuracy of a digital refractometer for more than twice as much. We suppose that the Milwaukee meter will cost less than it’s Hanna counterpart but when we find out more about the milwaukee electronic refractometer that’s when you’ll know.
