Das Korallenriff-Aquarium is brand new reefing book brought to us by the legendary Svein Fossa and Alf Nilsen, authors of the seminal Modern Coral Reef Aquarium series. If you were reefing in the mid-nineties your reef upbringing was likely shaped either by Sprung & Delbeek or by Fossa & Nilsen. Although The Reef Aquarium was an important part of our reefing library growing up, the Modern Coral Reef Aquarium always seemed to us more modern. Roughly 14 years since the release of MCRA, Fossa & Nilsen are following up with a new bok series aptly titled Das Korallenriff-Aquarium (The Coral Reef Aquarium). Alas! The new work from these two godfathers of European reefkeeping is only available in German and so far there are no plans to translate this book into sweet, readable English. If you speak or read the German then you can already preorder Das Korallenriff-Aquarium from the publisher for 48,00 €. Although we’ll glean what we can from our rudimentary understanding of Deutsche and all the purdy pictures, we hope you’ll join us in bombarding the publisher with requests for an English version of The Coral Reef Aquarium. The German version can be pre-ordered on this page and the publisher can be reached via this contact page.
