The Turboflotor blue 500 is a new miniature needle wheel from AquaMedic which is just being shown off at InterZoo 2010. The diminutive foam fractionator is an affordable in-sump nutrient removing device which is likely to be a particularly popular model. Although the AquaMedic booth was still a ways away from being complete, a few of these Turboflotor Blue 500 skimmers were rockin’ hard tasty cloudy foam. Far from getting any real handson time, the Blue 500 Turboflotor was packin silencing and water adjustment features well beyond the versatility you’d expect from an economical, injection molded. Without a real price to go on, we’d expect this T’flotor to hit retail shelves for close to $100 with US availability in mid to late summer.
