The W-5 Vortex cooling fan from Dymax is an attractive hang-on device for use in cooling smaller heat-laden aquariums. The Hang-on vortex form factor is a product with which we were not familiar before a couple weeks ago but several UK shops and dozens of booths at InterZoo were sporting different variations of this theme. Among the more compact and attractive of these was the W-% from Dymax which comes in five chic-nouveau colors for the fashion conscious. The Dymax W-5 vortex fan spins at 4000RPM yet only produces around 35 decibels of noise, 30 decibels is almost inaudible to the human ear. We’ve no information on US or North American distribution of the Singaporean DYmax products including the W-5 Vortex cooling fan but we’ll be sure to let you know if we learn otherwise.
