The new Elos E-luxe made an appearance at Interzoo 2010 as most of the new Elos catalog. The E-Luxe light that was shown off here was a 150 watt metal halide with 2 8-LED strips on each side for actnic supplementation. You can expect a larger model with 2 x 250 watt power including over 2 x 15 LED strips but that isn’t expected to hit the market anytime soon. Elos designed this light to keep costs down so that it would be more affordable to aquarists. Although having an Elos name tag on this light doesn’t give us any confidence. We’re told that this fixture will be available in the next few months with pricing to follow soon thereafter.
