Tetra’s 55th anniversary tin bears the semblance of the original can of Tetramin flake food for aquarium fish even if the original Tetramin can was only made with a German label. The motifs and designs of the can above stay true to the original style of the period which was printed in languages all over the world and carried through the 60s, 70s and 80s, a time when many of us had our first experiences with tropical aquariums as child aquarists . This commemorative can is a thoughtful way for Tetra to trumpet it’s 55th anniversary especially since the flake food has been replaced with tasty fish-shaped breath mints. Since it’s the day after memorial day we thought we’d give some props to one of the oldest aquarium companies in the hobby and industry. Stay classy Tetra and we wish you the best for the next 55 years in business.
