The TMC V2 Ozone generator is the first cold plate ceramic ozone generator to become available in the US via Quality Marine. The TMC V2 Ozone has an adjustable output which ranges from 25-250mg of ozone per hour and an adjustable timer for diurnal operation on a 12 hour cycle. the casing of the TMC V2 Ozone seems intermediate in design between the second and third cases of the Vortech’s pump driver, with a tricolor LED strip which displays the level of ozone output selected. The output of the TMC V2 ozone maker is between 25mg and 250mg of O3 per hour and the inbuilt timer can deliver 1-10 hours of operation per 12 hr period. We find it kind of odd that Tropical Marine Centre would find it necessary to throttle down the duration of the O3 output and it is unclear if this is to for the operation and durability of the electronics in the long term. The TMC V2 Ozone generator retails in the UK for 149GBP so we expect the unit will retail for about $200 when it starts shipping widely to US aquarists.
