With all of the InterZoo reporting we’ve done in the last month of posting, many of you are aware that InterZoo is a big show with tons of new products. What you probably haven’t been able to imagine is the grand scale of this show and the enormous booths that exhibiting companies erect to display their wares and flex some marketing muscle.
The booths ranged in size from the very large to ridiculously large but one thing is clear, the Marine Aquarium Conference of North America has a long way to go to approach the german trade show spectacle. Since InterZoo is every two years, the companies that exhibit there really synchronize their development cycle to coincide with the show and their marketing budget is clearly synchronized with the timing of InterZoo as well.
This year InterZoo was a monumental show; going there and getting the scoop on a world’s worth of new aquarium products was very hard work but it was really a great experience. Huge thanks to everyone that helped us get the information, food and internet we needed and we look forward to trekking halfway across the world to bring you the scoop in another two years.
