Summer is usually the time to visit some old friends and to make some new friends. So we went for a trip from Belgium to Brno (Czech Republic) to visit Frantisek Floder from coral-shop. Due to the holidays we were not able to visit reefkeepers or shops over there… After some relaxing days in coral-shop country we went to Austria to look how were things at ATB. Anton Burian and his family took us to some aquarium related places. One of them was Mega Zoo in the surroundings of Vienna.
This shop has almost anything you can imagine for your pet… A two story high mega store. On the first floor we could see everything for the aquarium. Fresh water and reefkeeping. The thing that stroke me the most is how clean the whole shop is. It looked like it was brand new, and actually it’s already open for more than a year… As we say, you could eat from the floor. There was a freshwater showtank and also a reeftank. The complete reefkeeping installation is running on ATB skimmers. The showtank on a normal size cone and the fish selling tanks on several mini’s. After the reverse osmosis unit there was a custom build ATB H600 filter. If you are in the area drop in, it’s worth it. Mega Zoo has 5 shops in Austria and they are planning 4 more…
