Netherland-based Aquadip had a couple announcements coming out recently with an improvement to its frozen brine shrimp food and the addition of Voogle, a natural stress reducer and overall health additive labeled under the Easy-Life brand.
Aquadip may be known around Europe and the UK for their live brine shrimp and boast their success at getting them loaded with Omega-3 around 15 years ago. Now the company has added astaxanthin to the batches, giving them a natural powerful antioxidant to improve fish health and coloration. The live brine shrimp are perfect for seahorses and the company also offers live Nauplii enriched with fatty acids for younger fish. The live brine shrimp are available in 100ml,150ml and 200ml ready-for-sale bags and the Nauplii in 80ml bags delivered every week to the UK.
Besides having an unusual name, Voogle is geared towards being a weekly addition to either your<freshwater or marine tank to combat the things that attack the immune systems of fish. Easy-Life Voogle boosts the health of fish and strengthens their immune system. According to the product details, Voogle is made from plants extracts and supporting vitamins and minerals and has no toxic effect on fish, inverts, corals, plants or your biofilter. The product says it breaks down in a natural way so it will not accumulate high levels of crud to throw off your water parameters but we’re sure this probably makes your skimmer go into overdrive for a while.
We are wondering if Voogle is along the same lines as other herbal additives on the market such as APIs Pimafix and Melafix and Microbe-Lift’s Herbtana (is he related to the 1970s TV show “Vega$” character Dan Tanna?) and Artemiss. So far the natural additives have a pretty good track record but be prepared to have an angry protein skimmer for a while.
