So we’re on our way to MACNA in Orlando and in order to make sure we don’t miss any of the top notch speaker talks, we’ve already programmed alerts into our iPhone for when certain presentations will go down. In no particular order, we’ve selected more talks than we can attend and our selection is really a personal one, since we’ve seen presentations by Fellman, Ross and other speakers innumerable times. There’s a full list of MACNA speakers online and also an app for that if you have an iPhone (tons of people) or a WebOS phone (WebelOS?). If you won’t be going to Orlando for the labor day/reef geeking weekend let us know if we can ask the speakers any specific questions on your behalf but if you are going, feel free to shout out in the comments on which presentations you’re most looking forward to see. Follow the break to see our personal high priority presentations for this year’s MACNA.
Friday 1pm: it’s going to be a tough call between Sprung’s “Science, Reef and Industry” talk and Lindsay’s presentation on Strontium research.
Friday 3pm- Moe’s got our undivided attention on “9 marine environments” but fatheree’s “Green Reefing” presentation should be a very practical one.
Friday 4pm: We’ve never been too excited about Dr. Ron’s soporific presentations but the “Azoox particle capture” topic has really caught our attention.
Saturday 11am: Scott Michael will be using an acient projection technology called “Slide Film” to show reef creatures in retro-analog glory

Saturday 4pm: We can’t wait to hear what Photon Man Dr. Sanjay Joshi has to say about Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs)
