The Combo Multichip LED pendant from Blue Moon Aquatics was one of the nicest surprises we enjoyed at the MACNA show. In anticipation of getting another look at this unique pendant at next week’s Reefapalooza, we thought we’d pull out this video we made of the Combo LED pendant and it’s “interesting” mounting arm. As you can see from the video, this combo LED pendant is plenty enough light for illuminating an 18 inch cube aquarium like the Solana and never mind the actual color rendition of the corals in the tank, as this is highly affected by the white balance of the video camera. Also that crusty ring on the lens of the Multichip LED is totally our fault, as we were allowed to dip it into the surface of the water to see how it would compare to the LED light pipe we saw at InterZoo. Oh the things we bloggers get away with, thanks Blue Moon for letting us play.
