The Aqualux VHO T5 lamp is the name of the new true Very High Output T5 fluorescent lamps from Sunlight Supply. These Very High Output T5 fluorescent lamps are specially designed for high intensity use in the Tek light Ultra Elite, also from Sunlight Supply, with beefier electrodes and perhaps some stronger glass for the higher temperature operation. We first reported on the Tek Light Ultra Elite back in MACNA but at the time, no packaging or branding had been divulged about the Aqualux VHO lamps. The Aqualux lamps will initially be available in the four most useful basic colors, Ocean Blue (blue) Ocean Actinic (deep blue), Ocean white (cool white) and Ocean Day (daylight/warm white). Initial pricing for the VHO T5 lamps will likely hover around $30 per four foot lamp, but like other lamp formats before it, we expect the price to come down somewhat over time.
