ReefPearls is a food for suspension filter feeders which has so far been available only in Europe. Reef Pearls will soon become available in the US from Aloha Tropics (for now the exclusive US carrier) which should be carrying Reefpearls within next month. ReefPearls is a relatively new reef aquarium food developed in the Netherlands by Reef Interest.
It is designed to stay suspended in the water column for for up to 24 hours without leaching nutrients into your system and claims to be less polluting to aquairum water because “these phosphates are in an organic form (attached to proteins and DNA) instead of inorganic phosphates (PO4).” The food will sell for $20 per 80 gram pack but aloha tropics is selling it now at an initial introductory price of $15.
