Sea Swirl, a company well known for its water oscillating devices has finally released a 1.5 in. version. Along with this bigger model, Sea Swirl also improved the previous 3/4 and 1 in. devices. The new units rock a more energy efficient motor (3 watt vs. 5 watt) and unlike the previous version, there are no union rings. Sea Swirl also decreased the size of the units and they come with a universal bracket to fit glass, perimeter bracing and acrylic cut-outs on the top of the aquarium.
The 1.5 in. Sea Swirl is designed for flow rates from 3,000 to 5800 GPH and is recommended for tanks 180 gallon and up. The 1.5 in. version should retail for around $399.95. The other Sea Swirls will most likely retail for the same amount of the previous versions ($165, $205, $235) 1/2, 3/4, and 1 in. respectively.
