The Luminance LED desklamp from Lumisource may be built more for reading words at great speed than for growing corals really fast, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be inspired by it’s unctuous curves. The Luminance LED appears to be using medium output LEDs which are not great for life expectancy and they haven’t got the best CRI, but with probably a few watts of solid state lighting under the hood and the built in mood (moon) light for just $65, it’s definitely worth a shot over someone’s nano or refugium. Let us know if you end up trying it out.
