Pomacentrus cheraphilus is a species of damselfish which was recently described from specimens collected in Brunei and the Phillipines. Gerald R. Allen, Mark V. Erdmann and Vincent V. Hiloman described Pomacentrus cheraphilus in the first issue of Aqua published this year. Like other Pomacentrus, P. cheraphilus grows to a modest size of up to 2.5 inches (6cm) and it has a juvenile stage with a much more attractive yellow body and blue facial stripes.
