Advances in Coral Husbandry in Public Aquariums is a different kind of coral reefing book. Instead of being produced by an aquarium hobbyist author, this new Coral Husbandry book was put together by some of the best public aquarists in the world.
In May 2007, the Burger’s Zoo hosted the Coral Husbandry conference which brought together pro aquarists to share their experiences on many different aspects of keeping corals in small, and public display sized aquariums. Over public aquarists presented on topics as diverse as chemistry, taxonomy, captive breeding and pests and parasites of corals in captivity. All of these presentations from the Coral Husbandry conference now make up individual chapters of the Advances in Coral Husbandry in Public Aquariums book.
The complete proceedings of the Coral Husbandry conference are now available in the Coral Husbandry book. The book can be purchased from Burger’s Zoo for €64 ($86) with shipping in Europe and €71 ($96) for shipping outside Europe. Alternatively, all the chapters are available as a free download so you can cherry pick the topics you wish to read from over 40 chapters on Coral Husbandry as written by some of the best professional public coral aquarists (and Mitch Carl).
