The Slimline LED from Sunbrite is a an attractive LED reef light, which is controllable using the included remote. We’ve had a chance to mount a Slimline LED on an EcoMini 28 gallon to evaluate the color and spread which is neatly illustrated by this animated image.
The animation of the Sunbrite Slimline LED colors starts with all the LEDs on, then two of the blues off, two of the whites off, all white, all blue and then moonlight. We are told that this review fixture was equipped with 60 degree lenses, making somewhat of a spotlight effect which is perfect for some tank, but the 24″ footprint of the EcoMini 28 gallon could stand to user some wider lenses. We’re going to try out some 80 and 90 degree lenses on the Slimline and see how well the spread changes, but in the meantime, the affordable and attractive LED light from Sunbrite is nearly perfect for this kind of all in one reef tank.
