The IVS Portal viewer literally stole the show for us at Reef-A-Palooza and the company is here at Reef Stock showing its Portal Nano viewer. The small design has a 2.5 in. lens with the same depth of field as the larger 4 in. model giving you sharp images up to around 14 inches. The Portal Nano features the same design with the ability to give you a closer look at what’s in your tank and doubling as an algae scraper. The smaller design and less powerful magnets make it a great choice for smaller tanks including bowfronts. A quick reminder that these are not magnifying glasses but rather optically tuned lenses similar to what you find in eyeglasses that give you the ability to see clearly at a variety of distances from the viewer. These beauties should be available in mid-May and run around $50.
