The Skimz Leopard protein skimmer is a new line of fractionators coming soon from the makers of the Skimz Monzter cone skimmers. The Skimz Leopard skimmer is said to feature an “Integrated Inverted Cone” design which we hope will be more innovative than it initially sounds. We don’t expect the Skimz Leopard to literally be an upside down cone in overall shape, but rather some bubble baffling ingenuity the likes of which Warner Marine has experimented with in their Vertical Bubble Technology (VBT) bubble plate.
Since Warner Marine recently partnered up with Skimz to produce the new MF series protein skimmers, we wouldn’t be surprised to learn that the Skimz Leopard has some elements of the VBT but we could be totally off. Either way we’ll find out more about the Skimz Leopard protein skimmer and its Inverted Cone design when it is unveiled at Aquarama in Singapore at the end of the month.
