With GHL releasing their ProFilux 3 unit, it was only a matter of time before they updated their other modules. One of the more popular modules, the SMS module has now been updated to support the ProFilux 3. Specifically it now uses the PAB (ProfiLux Aquatic Bus) connection that was introduced with the ProFilux 3. For those of you that have not upgraded to the ProFilux 3, the PAB is basically an Ethernet cable (CAT5) that has been configured to support all of the communications between these high end German controllers. A nice feature about the SMS module is that it has a built in battery backup supply so when your tank is literally dead in the water from having no power the system will still be able to send you a text message. Now, if only power companies would send you a text message stating when your power is schedule to turn itself back on. We won’t hold our breath for that. Expect this updated module to begin releasing to GHL outlets very soon.
