The ATB Elegance 250 Pro is a high performance protein skimmer from ATB which packs a ton of features into a nice tight package. The Elegance 250 Pro comes stock with an air silencer, internal AirStar needle wheel pump, doube diffuser plates and now it also comes with the option to have an internal spinning spraybar for washing down the neck and cup of this cone skimmer.This particular ATB ELegance Pro was spotted at Reef System’s Aquarama booth in Singapore and it was not clear whether the neck and cup cleaning spraybar was standard or whether it came as an option.
We’ve seen this cleaning system in the ATB Supersize skimmer before but this is the first indication that the spraybar washing system might be trickling down to more consumer size skimmers by ATB. The spinning spraybar has very small holes which should produce strong jets of water to wash the neck and the cup but you’ll need a high pressure pump to get the most out of this type of washdown.
