PRO Aquatics is a new line of Bulk aquarium additives and chemicals from Fritz, a company which once was a powerhouse of various aquarium products. Back in our retail LFS days we can remember selling the Fritz-zyme #9 to many a distressed new aquarium owner for biological remediation. Along with their line of hobbyist level aquarium chemicals and biological, Fritz ProAquatics has been selling bulk & concentrated chemical and biological products into professional aquaculture and public aquaria for close to ten years. Fritz ProAquatics will be priced so specialty retailers can be competitive with high quality, professional use, chemicals and products.
There is a very real trend of reef hobbyists advancing and “graduating” away from their local aquarium stores. These advanced hobbyists begin looking for less expensive alternatives online for their chemicals. Fritz has packaged several of the same products/formulations they sell to the professionals into smaller retail friendly packaging. The Fritz ProAquatics line currently includes Magnesium chloride, Magnesium sulfate, Calcium chloride, Sodium bicarb, Pelleted and Granular Carbons and Super Salt Concentrate. The initial launch of the Fritz ProAquatics chemicals will launch in July with more products coming in the future.
