The Micom Liquid Doser was originally built by Johnlen, makers of the Thermoelectric Chiller and the LED Heater, yet we originally covered the pump as relabeled by the Aquahouse doser. We got a look at a reworked version of the Micom Liquid Doser which gets its dosing gears micro-managed by a separate pH or ORP controller. Naturally the pH-controlled Micom Liquid Feeder would be used to add Kalkwasser (CaOH) to maintain a high pH setpoint in a reef aquarium, but we’ve been scratching our head as to what liquid additive could be used to raise ORP.
Johnlen does make an ORP-raising liquid additive called ORP Spring but the Chinglish-divide was too much for us to adequately understand what this product was made of. The controllable Micom Liquid Feeder will only cost about $10 more than the standalone dosing pump, although the separate controller will tag on about $100 to the whole package.
