A spankin new video of the holy peppermint angelfish, Paracentropyge boylei, was just uploaded to the interwebz yesterday. This is the very same and still the only live peppermint angelfish alive in captivity, which has been in the care of Japanese aquarist for several years now.
The peppermint angelfish does not appear to be in its old familiar rocky reef aquarium and the new digs seem to support what we’ve been told about this specimen being relocated to an aquarium store for a little while. While we don’t have the whole story, that doesn’t change the fact that this ‘large’ peppermint angelfish is in peak health and coloration and appears completely comfortable in its captive aquarium home.
We shouldn’t have to tell you to bump up the video resolution in this high quality video of a peppermint angelfish.
