The Reef Tap frag plug is actually a pretty neat idea of using a coarse irregular dome surface on top for corals to grow onto but the bottom is a neat little screw that should, in theory, allow you to more securely fix the Reef Tap frag plug into your live rock. The Reef Tap frag plug is made out of ceramic so it should be able to handle to torque from really screwing into live rock and it also has strontium and calcium added to the mix, you know just in case a growing coral wants to tap that. See what we did there? Not even sure if that’s possible but in any case, the novel screw base Reef Tap frag plugs are available to resellers now. [Reef Tap]
