The Abyzz 100 is one of the smallest full-on controllable DC water pumps we’ve yet seen for aquarium use. Packing in all the controllable features of the Abyzz 200 & 400 which are loosely named based on power rating, the Abyzz 100 is the one hundred watt model in Venotec’s stable of water pumps.
Rated for 2,100gph (8,000 lph) flow rate at 3.3 feet (1m) of head pressure with a maximum flow height of almost 20 feet (6m), the Abyzz 100 is going to be priced at 799€ which comes to about $1,037 at todays exchange rate. A thousand bucks is a lot to pay for modest specs but not so much when you realize that the Abyzz 100 is doing all that while only using 100 watts in a 6 x 3.75 x 3.3 inch package.
From the pictures the Abyzz 100 looks like an oversized MaxiJet pushing the volume of a Reeflo. The Abyzz 100 may be pricy but if you’ve got a big job need but really limited on space, you’d be hard pressed to find this kind of concentration of power and efficiency in a smaller pump. [Abyzz]
