It’s been a month since we wrapped up another solid ReefStock so we’re experiencing a little bit of empty nest syndrome. Rather than host another full reefing event, we’ve decided to start producing smaller more intimate reefing affairs called Reef Builders Meetups which are slated for a few of the country’s best aquarium establishments throughout the year.
The first Reef Builders meetup will be this Saturday at Unique Corals in Van Nuys, California from 6 to 8pm. We will have some light eats and drinks provided by Neptune Systems, there will be some door prizes including the limited edition Kraken Reactor from Avast Marine and we’re planning on having an open-format panel discussion with whomever and on whatever strikes us that night.
The Reef Builders meetup will be a general meet & greet of Reef Builders readers from Southern California, conveniently timed to coincide with the Marine Aquarium Expo going on this weekend. Since this is our first official meetup, we’ll be flying by the seat of our pants but in our experience, the best outcomes are the unexpected ones and if you’re in the area this Saturday night, you won’t want to miss it.
