The Coral Fluoresent Protein (CFP) Checker Flashlight that several MACNA attendees received last year are now available to buy this weekend. While supplies last, Two Little Fishes will be selling the CFP Checker Flashlight from Eco-Lamps at prices so low you can’t afford not to buy them!
The little one watt CFP Checker Flashlights have proven itself to be a useful tool for really, checking out the fluorescence of corals and we keep a pair in the camera bag. The 420 and 475 nm spectra are the ‘best’ for exciting a wide range of fluorescent pigments but if you have to get just one the 450nm LED torch is the best of both worlds.
However, TFL is offering the flashlights so cheap you can really afford to get all four – a single CFP Checker Flashlight is going for $20, two for $38, three for $55 and all four of the 420, 450, 475 and 500 nm for a cool $70. The CFP Checker flashlights are not likely to last beyond this weekend so if you’re a sophisticated coral connoisseur then you owe it to yourself to pick up these tastes of the rainbow.
