This trailer for Oceans: Nature’s Aquariums is an impeccable representation of how calming and peaceful the ocean can be, and why we love our aquariums so much. Despite being only eight minutes long, the trailer can whisk you away to a far away undersea world in the time it takes to have a coffee break. You know we love the fishes, especially the reef fish who don’t normally get much aquarium attention and Nature’s Aquarium really manages to make us feel for these sea creatures.
Not only is the trailer video serene, the eagle-eyed aquarist can actually glean some interesting aspects of reef fish behavior, even from the trailer, about how fish go about in the wild. We love the scene with the large Acanthurus tangs calmly grazing from the surface of a muddy bottom only to have a a school of fast-moving mullets swoop down on them and scoop the same sediment in a completely different manner.
We know we’ve played our fair share of reef life scenery videos while working the LFS, and from what we can gather this one really nails the idea. The full DVD of Oceans: Nature’s Aquariums is available from Undersea Productions for AU$18.95.
