We have appreciated the Paracirrhites xanthus, better known as the Yellow Hawkfish, for a while and were excited to hear a few of these finally have made their way to the US. If you recall, we heard about this unusual and rare fish surfacing in Japan back in 2011. Then earlier this year we had to wipe up our drool when we learned one of these specimens was in the care of a fellow hobbyist in England but yet this fish was still an ocean away. Now we have heard that not just one, but five Yellow Hawkish made their way into the US with one showing up at Rick’s Fish and Pet in Frederick, Maryland. We aren’t sure if this fish has been sold yet or where the other fish landed here in the US market but we are hoping to find out more details soon enough.
