Tunze added the LED full spectrum 8850 bar to their lineup at Interzoo 2014. It comes equipped with 7 white (5000K), 7 blue (470/450nm), and 12 red Nichia and Osram LEDs; which provides the ability to adjust temperature from 5000K to 25000K. There’s also a moonlight and all of it shines through a T.I.R lens for optimal spread. The housing is corrosion-resistant plastic like its predecessors.
The whole package can be controlled via that new 7097 Bluetooth multicontroller, or with the magnet holder. The unit is fully submersible, operating at 26 watts submerged or 14 watts in the air. The power difference is a result of a sensor ensuring the LEDs operate under ideal temps.
UK pricing is listed at 111.90 £, no word on US pricing and availability. The Tunze submersible LEDs have some really great features in mounting and controllability that make it an ideal light for smaller nano reefs.
