There’s a lot of cool things you can do with aquarium fish, you can teach them to play soccer, they can be trained to drive a remote controlled car, but playing video games has been beyond our fishy friends, until now. Right this instant, on Twitch, you can watch Robert the Bruce play against Aquarius in a nearly endless battle of Street Fighter II.
The two goldfish, one a black moor and the other an orange fantail, live together in what appears to be a 29 gallon aquarium and through the use of motion tracking cameras, Robert the Bruce and Aquarius are intentionally performing key inputs to smack each other up in the virtual combat game. Reading about this epic hack of goldfish and video game sounds fine and all on paper, but watching the goldfish move and the game progress is wholly more entertaining.
