Attention to details is what can make the difference between a nice reef tank, and a great reef tank. In this exquisite example of a reef display by Masanao Shibuya, no detail has been left to chance to create a reef tank that is world class by any standard.
The coral growth and coloration is absolutely off the chart and we just can’t get over how dynamic the range of color rendition is across so many pigments in so many of Shibuya-san’s corals. Part of the way that this is achieved is by using the best of the best lighting system possible, with this reef being primarily lit with T5 and then supplemented with no fewer than 5 LeDio LED spotlights.
The video might be brief but we do have the full translation of all the equipment used on this tank. We hope to see more of this reef aquarium system in the future because if any display is deserving of more exposure, this SPS Reef by Masanao Shibuya is definitely one of them.
