The Smart ATO Micro is a new optical water level sensor and top off device in one. This new ATO is a miniature version of the Smart ATO released by Auto Aqua just about two years ago. Like the Smart ATO, the Smart ATO Micro is an optical water level sensor with the controller built right in, and it magnetically attaches to the aquarium or sump glass.
Unlike the original Smart ATO, the Micro does not read the water level through the glass with a specialized internal lens. Instead the entire unit is waterproof and submersible which allows it to be smaller, more accurate, and it no longer is limited to be used on aquarium or sump walls that are clear.
Auto Aqua has really outdone themselves with the Smart ATO Micro since it’s basically taken a very well engineered device, and made it smaller, more versatile, and perhaps even less expensive to make. At just 15 mm thick and 20 mm in diameter, the new smaller Smart ATO Micro dwarfs its predecessor and has the footprint barely larger than an American one cent penny coin.
The Smart ATO Micro comes with a top off pump, tubing, a magnetic tubing holder and a anti siphon (check) valve that makes it a near complete kit for automatic top off of evaporated water with everything you need except for the top off reservoir, and the water itself. The new Micro version of the Smart ATO will retail for just $100 and it will be displayed to the public for the first time this weekend at MACNA in the CoralVue booth.
