The Marine Aquarium Conference of Europe (MACE) is a new full featured event that has just been announced for summer of 2016. MACE (pronounced Mac-ee) is a production of Pets Italy with cooperation from many different local organizations and will be spearheaded by Tony Vargas.
MACNA has become such a huge force of a marine aquarium conference in north America that Europe has gotten its act together to organize its own MACE. We’ve seen other ‘MAC’ style conferences organized in other countries before but with input from principal organizers of previous MACNAs, we expect the European MACE to inherit much of the feel and substance of MACNA with its own European flair.
MACE will take place June 18th & 19th in Rimini Italy and it already has industry support from Triton Lab, Two Little Fishies and Neptune Systems. The conference will be held at the Rimini Fiera which is a conference center with hundreds of thousands of square feet of event space so it is expected that MACE will be able to grow into quite the international marine aquarium event.
The European Marine Aquarium Conference will have an equally strong emphasis on speaker presentations which will be populated by the world’s best marine aquarium professional and hobbyists to share the best and newest information for all attendees. Details like admission, conference passes and lodging have yet to be divulged but if you’re interested in going to Italy for MACE this summer, be sure to follow their facebook page for the latest updates.
