The Red Sea Reefer XL are two new sizes of tanks to the Reefer line of nearly all in one tanks that were announced earlier this year. The Red Sea Reefer XL will come in two new sizes, a 425 liter/112 gallon size and a 525 liter/139 gallon size.
The new Reefer XL 425 and Reefer XL 525 have the same length and height as the 120cm/48 inch and 150cm/60″ Reefer tanks but have a larger footprint with three more inches of width. The included stands and sumps are equally increased in size with the sump also now including an extra inch of water depth in the constant water level chamber for protein skimmer use.
The two new models of Red Sea Reefer XL tanks are otherwise identical to the standard reefer range. The Red Sea Reefer XL also sport the ultra clear, beveled glass tanks, the swanky Marine-Spec stand, and thoughtfully designed sump which is fed by the noise reducing internal overflow and plumbing, and last but not least, the built-in auto top off system.
The new wider dimensions of the Red Sea Reefer XL tanks should offer their users with even more real estate for creating compelling aquascapes. The pricing for the Red Sea Reefer XL starts at $1949 for the 425 liter model but pricing for the Reefer XL 525 has not yet been announced, nor do we have a firm shipping date to look forward to.
