The LOOP system is a complete ecosystem of pumps and lights from Current USA which was just launched at Global Pet Expo. The LOOP Ecosystem makes it easier than ever to have all your most important aquarium devices connected and powered from a single, central hub.
Until the Fishbit came along you practically needed an engineering degree to connect your entire aquarium’s life support system to a single, manageable hub. Current USA takes this concept one step further with the LOOP by basically building all of the hardware to work together from the ground up.
The core component of what Current USA launched utilizes their new LOOP™ technology. LOOP is specifically designed for connecting and syncing lights, pumps and accessories to a single, controllable network and allows all of the aquarium components to communicate with each other. Expandable and upgradeable, LOOP™ is the most affordable, intelligent control solution focused on ease of operation and user experience.
In addition to the LOOP Hub, the other main components of LOOP include the Orbit IC LED light, the EFlux Wave pump and the EFlux DC Pump. As the name implies the Orbit IC LED is very similar to the Orbit Marine LED, but with integrated circuit electronics that allow for independent control of lighting across the tank.
The Eflux Wave pump is a simple DC-powered propeller pump which will be available in a range of sizes, and it is both powered and controlled by the LOOP. Likewise the Eflux DC Pump is a controllable DC pump that also plugs into the LOOP hub and it will be able to dial in the performance and functions of the return pump to meet your aquarium’s exact needs.
There will be a lot more to say about all the individual components of Current USA’s new LOOP system. One thing we can tell you for sure is that altogether the complete LOOP System of DC powered lights and pumps will work effortlessly out of the box, and it will be a fraction of the price of combining products currently available on the market.
Current USA is planning for a June launch of the entire LOOP Ecosystem but in the meantime stay tuned for updates on the unique features of all the components.
