The Smart Controller 7000 is Tunze’s first foray into a fully fledged aquarium controller. Tunze has made many multicontrollers over the years to independently control various pumps and lights, but this is the first time the company has offered up a complete aquarium controller.
The Tunze Smart Controller 7000 has sensors for temperature and pH, four three-in-one connectors for pumps, LEDs and switchable outlets; these will work natively with many Tunze products but adapters will be available for universal control of other devices as well.
There are multiple LED indicators all over the face of the Tunze Smart Controller 7000, with touch sensitive buttons all over its splash proof/moisture resistant face. There is large bright alphanumeric LCD display to report on the status and levels of the devices, as well as temperature and pH.
Best of all, the Smart Controller 7000 has wifi built-in and it will be fully capable of control and monitoring to all desktop and mobile operating systems. We presume this means that there is a built-in web-server but hopefully there is also some native applications in the works now or in the future. The starting price for Tunze’s first aquarium controller will be an estimated $347 and we can’t wait to get some more face time with in once InterZoo officially opens to find out about how this baby works.
